Camilla Rich

EMIRITUS DIRECTOR

I have been a longtime resident of Hamilton and an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I am the proud mother of four and grandmother of five, and over the years my family and I have opened our home as both foster and permanent caregivers to hundreds of animals—from canaries to horses and my children embraced it with full hearts.

In 2010, I learned of Cape Ann Animal Aid’s plans to build a new shelter and was eager to become involved. It was an honor to help support the capital campaign that brought this vision to life. The Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter holds a deeply personal meaning for my family, as it is named in loving memory of my late son, Christopher—affectionately known as “Boo.”

Boo could almost always be found with a dog by his side. This shelter stands as a tribute to his gentle spirit and to the lasting impact of Cape Ann Animal Aid’s work in improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
