JACKSON (NOW JERSEY)
MULAN (NOW PEPPER)
BAXTER
ADOPTED JUNE 2007
On our first visit to Cape Ann Animal Aid, Baxter was the only dog to approach us and we knew he was the one for us. He has given us such joy over the years and is truly one of the family. We can’t thank you enough for the service you provide. Some at CAAA may recognize the older photo as the one used by CAAA to advertise 2007’s Dog Day. We are thrilled that Baxter is still with us and having his day! -Tim H. |
THANO (NOW CHICO)
ADOPTED MARCH 2021
Chico has been a wonderful addition to our family. We are so thankful for his loving, goofy, and cuddly presence in our lives. He is settling in very nicely. He is very clever and is learning commands and routines very quickly! He has loved to go for walks with us, especially in the woods. He is a gregarious, gentle, and happy boy who wags his tail anytime he sees another child, adult, or dog; he's quickly becoming one of the most popular pups on the block. The thing he loves most of all, however, is cuddling with his family on the couch or sitting with his papa in a big chair by the window. Thank you for bringing him into our lives! We love him so much! -Steven R. |
PRETTY BABY (NOW MINERVA AKA MINNIE)
WINTER
ADOPTED JANUARY 2021
One of my friends posted the link that Winter was available for adoption, so my family and I went through the adoption process. With COVID restrictions we weren’t able to meet Winter in person before adoption, but when we were finally able to meet her it was love at first sight. She took a little while to open up but now she loves to play with toys, snuggle, and attack toes. She is truly an amazing addition to our family and I could not be more grateful towards Cape Ann Animal Aid for helping us find our furever pet. -Mackenzie B. |
LILY BELL (NOW LILY POTTER DOGGO)
MOSES & BEJEWELED (NOW JACK & DIANE)
FRANCINE (NOW SOLEIL)
ADOPTED JANUARY 2021
I was looking for a kitten as a companion for my adult cat Noche. I had been searching for a long time when Soleil came into my life. I was so happy to hear I had been selected to adopt her. I made a very long journey in the middle of a snow storm to pick her up. I was so nervous but so excited to bring her home. The first week with her was an adjustment period - she hid under my bed and would not allow me to touch her. Slowly with some encouragement she would peek her head out for a pet. Trust was big for Soleil and something she was not going to give easily. She has been with me over a month and made huge progress. She loves her big brother Noche and I. She is such a blessing in my life and I love her so much. -Carlos C. |
TEA CUP (NOW KK)
ADOPTED MAY 2019
When KK and I met I was looking for a sweet buddy. I saw KK and feel in love with her sweet nature and beautiful eyes. The wonderful staff at Cape Ann Animal Aid told me she was very shy and would need some time to warm up. We bonded at the shelter with some head rubs and I knew I could love her and give her the support she needed. Almost 2 years later and it is KK that is giving the love and support! She is spunky and very chatty. She is so sweet and playful and we are both very happy! Thank you for the work you do at Cape Ann Animal Aid! -Melissa S. |
MICKEY MOUSE & PEACHES (NOW TORTA AND FATTOUSH)
ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2021
We are so happy we adopted these two girls. They warmed up to us as soon as they got in the car. Torta (Mickey Mouse) loves giving kisses and tries to play but doesn't really know how - she loves to jump on anyone sitting down nearby. Fattoush (Peaches) is so chill in the house. She sleeps all day long and her go-to move is asking for belly rubs. But out on our walks she takes the lead and loves to explore. They are always together! We are very happy we adopted them both. -Shasten S. |
MR. MUSCLES (NOW SIMON)

All of the staff at were so kind and helpful with the adoption process and we are so glad that we chose to adopt from Cape Ann Animal Aid. Sending love and thanks, Kate and Melissa |
LISA FRANK (NOW PUMPKIN)
ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2021
We knew that Lisa Frank was shy, but we really wanted a companion for our kitty Linus, also from Cape Ann Animal Aid (he was named Praline there). He had a brother at our house, who died last summer. K felt like he needed someone to interact with. When we got Lisa, we knew she would be shy, and followed all the advice. After a day or two, she immediately attached herself to Linus. They are so cute... They play and play and play. she loves him so much, and he is so good to her. I think his nose was out of joint for only a day or so. she doesn't leave the room when we are there anymore, but I soon hope to be able to hold her. She is such a beautiful girl! Thank you. She is so happy with her big brother! -Tara K. |
STARLIGHT (NOW MOONLIGHT)
ADOPTED OCTOBER 2013
I wanted a kitten. Liz wanted a Cat. I played with the kittens. She went looking i9n corners. She peeked around and said, "Come here." "Kitten."I said, pointing. "Come here." Kitten!" "Just come here..." So I reluctantly put the kitten down. Went to where Liz was standing, and she said, "Now look!" The cat was laying on a shelf, and as it met my eyes it rolled over and showed me it's belly, which had her fresh shaved spay surgery. But it didn't know that so it was even cuter. Now she's Moo. the one on the left. -Alexander T. |
DARCY (NOW MIA)
TRACE AND ZANE (NOW MISSY AND FRANKIE)
ADOPTED MAY 2017 AND JULY 2020
Missy is a 69 lb lap dog. She’s so loving and a joy to be with. Frankie loves to eat and play with Missy . They have a ball all day. They keep each other company while Mommy goes to work. They are so much company for me and each other. Don’t know what I’d do without them. -Lauri B. |
HALLA (NOW HOLLY)
ADOPTED DECEMBER 2019
I am so glad I brought Holly home just prior to the start of the pandemic, she has been great company (she is very talkative) and her age (20 years) does not slow her down much! She had no problem with using the cat door to get to her litterbox and made herself at home from the start. She quickly trained me to give her treats on her bed and runs in that direction when I pick up the container. Senior cats are the best! -Kristin B. |
MACY (NOW MAIZY)
ADOPTED OCTOBER 2015
I had two bassets and one was dying of nose cancer. I thought Gracie only had a few more days. Friends came in to say goodbye. I adopted 3 month old MAIZY and brought her home. Gracie became a puppy. They were instant friends. All 3 dogs ran around and played. Gracie lasted an additional 3 months. Izzy, my big basset was around for two more years. I miss my bassets, but MAIZY is a wonderful sweet dog. -Betsy K. |
DELILAH
ADOPTED OCTOBER 2020
We adopted Delilah on October 5th from Cape Ann Animal Aid. She has been a wonderful addition to our lives. She is almost 8 months old now, and she has already learned sit, down, paw, wait, stay, and now we’re working on high five! She is such a smart little girl. She is also the biggest cuddle bug, always loves to cuddle up next to you at the end of the day. Delilah has a big brother, Thor! They love to play together. Delilah loves to give kisses, play fetch with sticks, and has an obsession with ice cubes! She has such a great personality. We are so lucky to have her. Thank you to Cape Ann Animal Aid for all you did when she was with you as a puppy to care for her and show her love. -Chris H. |
