We love to visit animal-loving locations in our community! If you're interested in hosting a Meet & Greet at your business, or visiting our shelter with a group, check out the info below.
Beginning in 2023, due to increased requests for visits and to support the resources involved with coordinating events, Cape Ann Animal Aid requests that businesses consider adding a fundraising component to your meet & greet. Please see more info below if you would like to request a meet & greet from CAAA.
PUPPY MEET & GREETS: a 2-hour* visit with shelter puppies to your business, to meet and greet your customers.
STAFF STRESS RELIEF: a 2-hour* visit for your staff is the perfect way to de-stress and recharge! *2-hours is typically the maximum amount of time our puppies will remain relaxed in an offsite environment. Please reach out if you are planning a longer event. |

Conditions of meet & greets:
- Events must be at least 1 month out, to allow CAAA to recruit volunteers to supervise animals.
- Subject to volunteer coverage and our current events calendar.
- Subject to animal availability: we do not always have appropriate animals for public events and may need to reschedule or cancel if we do not have animals available.
- Outdoor events are weather-dependent, and CAAA participation may be cancelled* or rescheduled due to inclement weather.
*In the event of cancellation, any donation made can be returned.

GROUP TOURS: We offer guided tours to groups of various ages, from lower elementary students to senior citizens.
Tour guides share information with visitors about the history of the shelter, the programs offered on-site, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into animal sheltering. Visitors will be guided through a number of adoption rooms and areas, viewing our available dogs and cats. Hour long guided tours are available year round, but subject to availability. There is a $10 per person fee for our guided tours. Because Cape Ann Animal Aid receives no state or federal funding, we depend on the generosity of our supporters to cover the cost of care for our animals. Financial assistance is available. Groups may also plan a donation drive prior to their tour to collect food and other needed items to give to the animals at the adoption center in lieu of the $10 donation. |
Fees may be waived for local nonprofits, government or community groups, and pet therapy visits.
